PROJECT NARRATIVE

After completing a series of highly successful smaller projects, Nanostring challenged the BA team to create a new best-in-class space for laboratories and workplace. The team designed an open-to-structure, airy lab spanning the majority of Nanostring’s 175-foot western façade. A new board room spans a 25-foot-wide glass wall facing the lab to the south, with full-height exterior windows to the west and north. In collaboration with branding firm Graphica, the team designed a signature lobby that uses two-and-three-dimensional graphic elements to highlight positive patient outcomes across the firm’s 12 years of scientific research and product development. Amenity spaces celebrate the surrounding site, providing spaces for collaboration and discovery outside of the state-of-the-art laboratories.
