Project Launchpad is a 272,000 SF cGMP Manufacturing, Quality Control Lab, and Office facility. Due to the highly technical and energy intensive program the facility also had its' own central utility plant and mechanical yard. BA took over the project after schematic design and had to get creative with the tight budget and aggressive design schedule. The BA team worked closely with our design-build partners to develop alternate design concepts that resulted in greater flexibility and millions in cost savings.
Project Summary
Project Launchpad is the client’s first foray into construction of their own ground up lab, office, and manufacturing facility. The team had to get creative with the tight budget and aggressive design schedule so construction can be completed by mid 2024. The BA team understood how Seagen wanted to work and were quickly able to re-evaluate their program and develop alternate options for the building design. During this time we worked closely with the project contractor to ensure that the project would meet the clients budget.
