Hoag Health Center Foothill Ranch

PROJECT NARRATIVE

This project realizes Hoag’s concept of providing integrated health and wellness services into a retail environment. Instead of locating this 44,740 s.f. facility on a medical/office campus, they found an existing retail site (formerly a JoAnn’s fabric store) in a neighborhood shopping center that provided easily accessible parking, strong visibility, and a true seamless retail experience for the community.

To meet its goal of becoming the go-to wellness hub for one of Orange County’s fastest-growing residential communities, the facility includes everything from a state-of-the-art BIOCIRCUIT™ exercise studio with digital monitoring, health coaches, and wellness classes; to brand-name retail partners, consumer-centric events, personalized healthcare coordinators and community education areas. This is in addition to traditional medical office functions like primary care, specialty, care, sports medicine, physical therapy, women’s health, pediatrics, imaging, and urgent care.

The facility is intended to become the go-to wellness hub for one of Orange County’s fastest-growing residential communities. It features a host of tech-focused apps and monitoring systems, which will be used as a testing ground for new healthcare concepts that could be expanded to Hoag’s vast health network in the county.
