City of Hope Seacliff Medical Oncology Clinic

PROJECT NARRATIVE
This state-of-the-art healthcare facility was designed to provide comprehensive cancer care and expand outpatient oncology services for the surrounding region, serving as a sister facility to a nearby cancer center and attached micro-hospital and catering to patients from several partner offices across the area. The clinic transitioned from an outpatient medical office building setting to an OSHPD 3, hospital-licensed facility, a process that involved working with a third-party OSHPD 3 reviewer contracted through the local jurisdiction. The facility features a medical oncology clinic, infusion services, a compounding pharmacy, and research space.
The clinic has been designed with a clean, modern aesthetic, with a lobby space that leans toward a mid-century style rather than the coastal feel found at other locations within the network. The infusion space is crafted to be calming, featuring large abstract beachscape wall coverings and 3form panels used to separate patient bays. The clinic offers private or social patient bays, a DigniCap room for hair preservation during treatment, and a fast-track intake room for quick injections.
